BASE is our Night System for sleep. The goal wasn’t simply to help you fall asleep, but to create the conditions that support deeper, more restorative rest.
WHY BASE FEELS DIFFERENT
Most sleep compositions begin by asking which botanicals are associated with sleep.
BASE began somewhere else.
What should a scent designed for deep rest actually feel like?
The answer wasn’t simply softer or stronger. It needed to feel quieter, more settled and naturally restorative, without becoming another source of sensory stimulation.
The botanicals were selected because they have long been valued in aromatherapy for supporting relaxation and sleep. From there, the blend was refined through repeated testing until every ingredient worked as part of a balanced whole rather than competing for attention.
Some provide structure.
Some bring warmth.
Some soften the overall character.
Some add quiet depth.
Together, they create an atmosphere that feels calm, settled and beautifully natural to live with.
WHAT DOES BASE SMELL LIKE?
Quiet. Warm. Comforting.
BASE opens with soft woods and gentle resin before settling into a calm, balanced atmosphere.
The composition is warm without becoming heavy, familiar without becoming predictable, and noticeable without becoming intrusive.
Lavender is present, but deliberately restrained.
The woods provide structure.
The resins add softness and quiet depth.
The result is a scent designed to become part of the room rather than dominate it.
BOTANICAL COMPOSITION
Every botanical was selected for the role it plays within the blend.
Each one contributes something different. Together, they create an aromatic profile that no single botanical could achieve on its own.
Cedarwood Atlas (Cedrus atlantica)
Cedarwood Atlas is known for its warm, dry woody aroma and is widely valued for creating a sense of stability, calm and emotional grounding. In BASE, it provides the architectural foundation of the composition, bringing structure and quiet depth while supporting sensory conditions that feel balanced, settled and reassuring without becoming heavy.
ABOUT CEDARWOOD ATLAS
Native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, Cedarwood Atlas has been treasured for centuries for its rich, enduring aroma and exceptional longevity. Its slow-growing nature and distinctive character have made it one of the world’s most respected aromatic woods, valued both for its beauty and its remarkable ability to bring balance to botanical compositions.
Copaiba (Copaifera spp.)
Distilled from the resin of Copaiba trees native to the Amazon rainforest, Copaiba is widely valued in aromatherapy for promoting a sense of calm, comfort and emotional ease. In BASE, it softens the composition with a gentle balsamic warmth, helping create sensory conditions that feel quieter, more settled and deeply reassuring without becoming overpowering.
ABOUT COPAIBA
Often called the “gentle resin,” Copaiba has been used for generations by Amazonian communities. Unlike many richer resins, its aroma is remarkably soft and subtle, making it especially well suited to compositions designed for comfort, balance and quiet depth.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
Lavender is one of the world’s most recognised botanicals for supporting relaxation and sleep. In BASE, it brings a familiar floral softness that helps round the composition, allowing the woods and resins to feel gentler, calmer and more naturally suited to the quiet rhythm of the night.
ABOUT LAVENDER
Native to the Mediterranean, Lavender has been valued for centuries in both traditional herbal practice and modern aromatherapy. Its calming aroma has made it one of the most widely recognised botanicals for supporting relaxation, helping it become one of the world’s most studied and trusted essential oils.
Sandalwood (Santalum spicatum)
Australian Sandalwood brings a soft, creamy woody character that adds warmth, depth and quiet continuity to BASE. Rather than standing out on its own, it helps connect the other botanicals into a composition that feels smooth, balanced and naturally calming throughout the night.
ABOUT AUSTRALIAN SANDALWOOD
Native to the dry woodlands of Western Australia, Australian Sandalwood has been valued for generations for its distinctive aroma and sustainable cultivation. Compared with Indian Sandalwood, it has a drier, more grounded woody profile, making it especially well suited to compositions designed for balance, comfort and quiet depth.
Frankincense (Boswellia carterii)
Frankincense brings a soft resinous character that adds depth, balance and quiet cohesion to BASE. It helps smooth the transition between the woods and the softer botanicals, giving the composition a calm, grounded presence that feels elegant rather than heavy.
ABOUT FRANKINCENSE
Frankincense is distilled from aromatic resin that naturally hardens into small tears on the bark of the tree before being harvested. For thousands of years, it has been one of the world’s most valued aromatic botanicals, prized across cultures for its distinctive aroma and enduring place in perfumery, ceremonial traditions and botanical practice.
USAGE & DURATION
Add 4–8 drops to water in an ultrasonic diffuser. Reduce drop count for smaller rooms or extended diffusion.
Each 5 mL bottle provides approximately 15–25 diffusion sessions, while each 15 mL bottle provides approximately 40–70 diffusion sessions, depending on drop count and frequency of use.
SAFETY
For aromatic use only. Do not ingest. Essential oils are highly concentrated and must be handled with care. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Do not apply directly to skin. Store tightly closed, away from heat and direct sunlight, below 30 °C.
For extended or overnight diffusion, ensure normal room ventilation and adjust drop count conservatively.
